A small jaw harp that follows the mridangam's rhythms.
About
A small jaw harp: a metal frame with a central metal tongue, held in the hand and pressed against the teeth, with the tongue plucked by a finger. The player shapes the sound with the mouth and tongue. In Carnatic music it is usually played with the mridangam and often echoes its patterns.
